Jackson and Madison Vickers of Indiana

From:  Carolyn Louise Vickers Waters

Here is my most direct line:
Jackson Vickers, b. 11/04/1818, d. 01/27/1865
John Wesley Vickers, b. 04/29/1855, d. 06/03/1948
Alban B. Edward Vickers, b. 09/05/07, d. 02/05/76
Carolyn Louise Vickers Waters, b. 10/22/48 (That's me).

Jackson had a brother named Madison, but that's all I know about their family. Would like to get info on mother and father and other siblings.

I have about 50 pages double sided on this line. Thanks for any help you can give.

Thanks Carol! One more question. Do you know what state Jackson was from and where he lived? That will help as I can start a working file on him if you wish. Regards, Kelly

Yes, sorta. There are 2 different stories. He could have been born in Tennessee or Indiana. Seems like most of the info is from Indiana. He was in the Spanish American War, and the Cival War.

Here is what the info I have states:

Jackson Vickers was a Private in Co.K, 16th Regiment of the U.S. Infantry in the Mexican War. His widow received pension for his service in the Mexican War of $8 per month. (I have this Widow's document). Jackson later served in the Civil War on the Confederate side. He was in the hospital at Camp Morton in Indianapolis, Ind., June 7, 1864. He was released from war but died before he got home.

Jackson married Lucinda Perrine b. 06/24/1823, d. 02/23/03.

Jackson's brother Madison married Lucinda's sister Rodie Perine or Perrine, not sure which is correct, I have two different spellings.

That's the most of it.
